Chief Executive Thanks Staff, Outlines DVLA’s Reform Agenda at a Staff Durbar

The Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, together with his Deputies, engaged staff at the Head Office to review the Authority’s achievements over the past year, provide updates on ongoing activities and reform initiatives and outline the strategic direction for the period ahead. The engagement also offered Management the opportunity to express appreciation to staff for their dedication and support in achieving the Authority’s goals, while addressing key concerns relating to staff welfare and promotion.

In an address, the Chief Executive, Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey commended staff for their professionalism, resilience and commitment to duty, noting that their collective efforts contributed significantly to improvements in service delivery, operational efficiency and institutional performance across the Authority.

Mr. Kotey further briefed staff on ongoing reforms aimed at modernising DVLA’s operations, strengthening internal systems and enhancing customer service delivery. Mr. Kotey explained that the Authority’s reform agenda is anchored on efficiency, transparency, innovation and continuous improvement in the execution of its mandate.

The Chief Executive assured staff that Management remains committed to addressing these concerns in line with existing policies and available resources. He additionally stressed the importance of professionalism in the workplace, highlighting punctuality and adherence to appropriate dressing standards as key elements of the Authority’s corporate culture.

He highlighted key milestones achieved under his leadership, including the opening of new DVLA offices across the country to improve access to services and bring the Authority closer to the public. According to him, these expansions have eased pressure on existing centres and enhanced service delivery nationwide. Mr. Kotey reaffirmed his readiness to do even more, assuring staff of Management’s determination to pursue further innovations, infrastructure development and reforms that will strengthen DVLA’s mandate and improve the working conditions of staff.

The meeting concluded with the formal introduction of newly appointed Directors and Managers. Management expressed confidence in the leadership of the new appointees and encouraged staff to offer their full cooperation, reaffirming its commitment to fostering a supportive work environment and positioning DVLA as a modern, efficient and customer-focused public institution.
