INTRODUCTION OF ‘P’ PLATES

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) wishes to inform the motoring public and road users that, in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulations 2102, L I 2180, all new Drivers are to affix a ‘P’ Plate to the front and back of their vehicles for a probationary period of one year.

This will make it possible for old and experienced drivers to co-operate and show consideration to the new drivers in order to improve upon their skills and competency.

All new drivers are, therefore, advised to purchase the approved ‘P’ Plates from DVLA offices, after they have been issued their license, and use them consistently to promote safe road usage.
