The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), joined the world to celebrate this year’s customer service week, with a commitment to providing innovations to meet all customer needs and expectations.
The Manager of Service Excellence at DVLA, Madam Patricia Amoabeng noted that it is significant the Authority joins in the celebration to enhance collaboration among staff and service delivery which is premised on this year’s theme, Power of Service.
The theme she added highlights the importance of customer service and of the people who make a difference in the lives of customers by providing them with support on a daily basis to communicate the importance of customer service within the Authority.
“In recent times the transformation process of the Authority has become evident through its service delivery which has become possible under the leadership of the Chief Executive, Mr.Kwasi Agyeman Busia, the Board and Management. This can be witnessed through the digitization drive that has led to speed in service delivery.” she said.
This year’s Customer Service Week was marked with series of activities such as Staff recognition and awards, customer appreciation, outlook challenge, Executive support day and old school day.
The annual event started 37 years ago as a period set aside to recognise and appreciate the job done by people in service organisations. It emphasises the importance of customer service in running successful businesses and the role(s) played by employees in achieving this.
