The Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority was honored with three awards at the 4th Edition of the Africa Human Resources Innovation Awards 2022 organised by Instinct Waves.
The Authority was adjudged the HR Transformation in Public Sector of the year with the Chief Executive, Mr Kwasi Agyeman Busia winning the Most People Focused Award.
Deputy Director in charge of HR, Mrs Gifty Addo Kissi was adjudged Woman HR Professional of the year. This brings to 42, the number of awards received by the Authority in the last five years.
The event, was to celebrate the phenomenal work of HR practitioners, teams and organizations with the best HR practices.
In responding to questions during the session, Mrs. Addo Kissi touched on the provision of COVID-19 items quarterly to operational centers, the introduction of bi-weekly rotation by staff, adherence to safety protocol by staff and customers and observance of staff annual leave among others as measures put in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff during the pandemic.
According to her, Staff were also vaccinated as part of safety measures in the wake of the pandemic.
She thanked the Board, Management and Staff of DVLA for their support which has culminated to the achievements and assured that her outfit will continue to work hard to win more laurels in the subsequent years.
